Expose those behind the 11: Anwar
' They should be held responsible '
KUALA LUMPUR, Sun- Education Minister Anwar Ibrahim said he regretted recent political developments which resulted in a High Court declaration that Umno was as unlawful society.
He said this was a result of not only court action by 11 people but also by those who supported them either openly or secretly
"These people must be exposed and hold responsible." Encik Anwar said.
He said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad's warning in the past that Umno would be weakened by leadership struggles had now come true.
"People whos lusted for power caused all this.
" They must accept responsibility for what happened," he said in a statement .
Depressed
Encik Anwar returned last night after cutting short his visit to Indonesia where he was attending a conference of Asean Education Ministers in Denpasar.
He was ,however,confident that Dr Mahathir,Deputy Prime Minister Ghafar baba and other Malay leaders would strive to save Umno.
"The support by Barisan Nasional component parties and that from other leaders is very encouraging.
"It proves that their trust in dr Mahathir's leadership has not wavered. " he said.
